and if you don't like her just leave her be. the world is already filled with too much negative energy. saying she doesn't deserve your respect won't change anything at all besides make you look bitter. 

Honestly she brought it on to herself. In 2012 she gained so much hype in the music and the fashion industry but things turned sour when she said terrible things about it.

All I can say is she should have never bitten the hand that fed her fame at that time.

wat I've constantly held Donald Trump responsible for the things he's said on this forum, and most people don't like Trump and he has constant backlash so I don't get this comment. It's crazy the passes this woman gets just because she can make music.

i agree she shouldn't have spat on the plate from which she ate, but life's about making mistakes and learning from them. she was my age, 21 years old, when she got world famous. i can't even begin to imagine how that changes the way you think and act, especially being bipolar.

Honestly, same. The fact that that everyone is massacring everyone else in the media who has these horrible things coming out about them, but this woman had made horrible racists remarks, has physically assaulted people yet people on here still like her  because she makes good music. Blows my mind.

I've been listening to BWET a lot this week and it's honestly such a great album, too bad her terrible attitude ruined her career... but she deserves more recognition for her music. She's definitely the most talented female rapper out there.

um ok, but what passes does she get?
if you can't forgive her for the things she's said then that's on you. but her career is struggling so much ever since she's been through all of this drama, especially the zayn episode. she's just trying to make music.

You're giving her a pass right now, and so are other people in the thread I'm not trying to turn this into an argument or anything but if anybody who wasn't famous said even half the things that she has done in her time there would be absoutely no coming back from it, yet Azealia has retained a healthy fanbase through it all despite documenting animal abuse, making fun of rape, has made multiple homophobic comments (despite having a mostly gay following ), there's the whole Zayn Malik ordeal, to just list a few.

The woman has gone through more labels and managers than I can count, she's got in more feuds than I can count. She is no victim, she's not a struggling artist out there just trying to make music and getting wronged at every turn, her career is struggling because she's an awful woman and nobody wants to work with her, and when they do she eventually just ends up fighting with them anyway.

She deserves absolutely no support, being famous should not negate everything above, if any random person did it everyone would be up in arms much more than they are for Azealia.

I think she's a fantastic artist, but a horrible person. It's good she's being held accountable, and I think she deserves it.

That said, there is no doubt that she faces a double-standard of hypermagnetized scrutiny, especially as a darker Black woman. There are people, in many industries, who have done (rather than said) incredibly awful things, and are still not held accountable. If she is to be held to that standard, then so should everybody else.
