excuse me but i think she's talking about corporate farms. what about smaller farms? at whole foods they give toys to their chickens for god's sake to promote growth.

But tbh average Joes are at fault too even tho its so easy to put all the blame on Corporations

People always compain and are unwilling to pay higher prices for goods...

People want higher environmental standards, they complain about offshored jobs, poor working conditions etc

Yet if some companies actually adressed all people demand, those companies wouldnt compete because 90% of consumers would just ditch that product for a cheaper option

Big issues require co-operation and sacrafices from people of all classes...

I dont see it happening. People like change as long as its someone else paying a higher price for it or making sacrafices

She's making a pretty broad statement by lumping corporate dairies with small family run dairies. Yes there are dairies that are like something out of a horror movie but that doesn't mean that all are like that.

1. Dairy cows technically only need to have 1 calf in order to give milk. Even after that calf is weaned, mama will keep producing milk as long as she's hooked up to a milking machine once or twice a day. Milk is produced by supply and demand so if she's being milked once or twice a day, she'll keep producing milk to replace what was lost during milking.

2. I personally have always thought it was weird that people push ( doctors included) humans to wean their child by a year old and give them cows milk instead. How does it make any sense to wean a child off of his/her mamas milk that was perfectly designed for him/ her and instead give them milk that was designed to make a tiny calf grow into a 1,000lb cow? Mama's milk doesn't stop being nutritious at a year old

I love you monsters. I'd be unfixably broken without you

Hence why normal cow milk is so tough for humans to digest

Milk used to trigger my IBS symptoms now I drink Goat Milk and no problem!!!

Goat milk has a simmilar composition to human milk. It also has smaller fat gobules for the body to break down

Did you know some people who are lactose intolerant can drink goat milk?

Also ive grown to prefer the taste!!!

It is more than double the price however :neyde:

Cow milk naturally has enzymes that digest the lactose but once it's been pasteurized , the heat from the pasturization process kills those beneficial enzymes that break down lactose. My daughter isn't a big milk drinker (even though I'm vegan) but when she does have milk she prefers goats milk as well
