Have a plan outlined and stick to the plan!!!  Thats seriously my only request for the next era.

True. However, if they had stuck to the plan, A-YO would’ve been the second single, and that could have been a disaster. Same with Venus for ARTPOP

I'm a Venus lover so I think it wouldve been fun as the second single. It's absolutely ARTPOP thats for sure. Lol. If they change their minds on a single, maybe they shouldn't announce it so we don't wonder what if!  That's more the idea I have in mind.

The Joanne era was lowkey a nightmare, tbh :awkney: Well at least the Million Reasons mini-era.

I loved the Perfect Illusion ''era'', it was refreshing to see Gaga being that raw, but I was thinking she'd go back to her usual pop self later in the album cycle...

Then she dropped Million Reasons, which itself is a really good song but... the video is a huge disappointment, and the way she promoted it felt really commercial and cold (she just put it in the Super Bowl where it absolutely didn't belong to promote it while it was supposed to be a personal song, not a big hit).

Then there was the John Wayne MV that kinda made things better, I just don't understand the decision of not making it a single.. ?

After that things became a bit more exciting, with the tour, Coachella, the new aesthetics she served with the merch, FF2...

But I really hope she gives us more attention in the next era, for instance BTW was all about the LMs, ARTPOP was about her grabbing onto the LMs in a difficult time, but with Joanne it looks like it's a bond between her and the casual fans (Superbowl, the JWT being mostly a biggest hits tour), and the LMs are just expected to watch from behind

I just hope she assumes what she does for the next era. Joanne feels like she tried something, and when she saw it wasn't really what the GP was looking for, she started to blend everything with old hits and commercial performances :awkney: I'd rather have her continue doing her thing even tho it's a massive flop like she did with ARTPOP (even though we can argue that she did change direction to make it more commercial at some point).

Hearing half the album before the release date.  This has been a problem since BTW.  BTW, AP, and Joanne we have heard half of the album before they were even released.  We got too many leaks, snippets, and performances of non singles.

Changing the second single.  The only exception was Judas to EOG.

Only two or three music videos.

I really hope she is hush hush leading up to the next album.  No listening parties.

What About Us

Honestly, the melodramatic fans would probably ruin the era for me. However, I would listen to the album regardless of that.

Promise I'll always be there. Promise I'll be the cure.

My biggest fear would be an underwhelming tracklist. I don't hate Joanne, but I could take or leave half the songs. They felt more like Gaga's experiments with a different genre rather than fully realized Gaga tracks (less clever lyrics, more straightforward instrumentals, etc.)

Fans stuck in the past. Rock hasn't been a thing since the 90s :interestinga:

besides, Joanne is pop rock, not pure rock

4 of 5 albums are pop so by your logic, lets move on from pop :lolly:
