mrsgagamonster 38
Y'all are doing lots of over thinking honestly. Joanne was a very successful era, and ARTPOP turned out to be in the end. Sales are almost irrelevant in this industry because of the fact that nobody's buying albums. What sticks with people is REACH. Did they both reach a large audience? Yes. Were they both successful tours? **** yes! (Touring is where artists make a bulk of their money nowadays...and like, watch endorsements lol)
noisullitcefrep 3,871
The only nightmare would be, if Gaga weren't healthy in her new era. Otherwise, let her do whatever she wants Why do we always have to complain?

JR Gg 12,985
The people on this thread need some education about The Cure. The Cure is not a Tropical song. It is synth-pop and pop-soul. The R&B influences are imminent, quite similar to DWUW. It has some tropical influences yes, but to say the song is following some generic trend is quite wrong. The Cure is a unique midtempo song starting with soft vocals and finger-snapping. But then the chorus kicks in and it resembles Gaga's signature big choruses. During that period of time, I'm sorry but I haven't heard anything like The Cure except for the similarities of the synths at the beginning of the song. It is nothing like Bieber's Sorry or tropical songs. The lyrics may be simple, but it is a light-hearted song with a positive message. Calling Gaga generic and craving for a hit is so wrong when she could've simply released a collection of catchy tunes with no meaning instead of Joanne. Remember, Gaga writes catchy smash hits in 10 minutes.

BTW, AP, and Joanne we have heard half of the album before they were even released. We got too many leaks, snippets, and performances of non singles. Changing the second single. The only exception was Judas to EOG. Only two or three music videos. I really hope she is hush hush leading up to the next album. No listening parties. I have BEEN saying this !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. do not let the cat out before its time... look at Bey, the mystery of it all keeps this fresh and people guessing , and interested to see what u have next. it keeps the mind of the audiance focused and cohesive. Heariing the album early allows critics and trolls to destroy the albums rep before it drops. the album is released into so much negativity and criticism that affects both critical and commercial success

People have moved on and went on to enjoy more pop, hip hop and electronica. Pop, rap, and electronica are not a trend lol people haven’t listened to rock in 30 years lol I don’t think they’re going back also I just don’t understand why you guys want gaga to release a rock album? Who wants rock? She would flop. It would completely destroy her career. Like I don’t get it. Gaga releasing a rock album would def be a nightmare scenario

All musical genres"cohabit", and trends reveal some genres to the general public. Electronica exist since almost 30 years, hip hop 50 years etc... And there is periods where a genre is more famous than an other but it doesn't mean there is musical genre that "die". Rock wasn't famous in 90's and in the middle of 00's there was a return of rock music, it's always changing. You understand? When you talk about "people" you talk about the GP, the visible and commercial part and you deny a big part of the musical production. Plus, the musical trends comes from the underground scene and commercial producers smooth the raw production of the underground producers to make "acceptable" music to a GP who is a casual listener of music. Musical innovations comes from underground scenes, and i think rock have a great new underground scene wich could inspired "pop music" (by pop i mean all genres who are famous, pop is more a kind of prodcution thant a true genre you know, Beatles, Kendrick or Ariana make pop music and this is not the same genre). I dont' care if Gaga make a rock album or not but I don't like when people say "rock" (or another genre) is dead, it means nothing.
