Well it certainly is the most interesting number of them all considering we hear of the other groups in this poll talk about discrimination often. 

You should take a look at the other results as well and see if your perception of the accuracy of the poll changes.

I never questioned the accuracy of the poll. I have an issue with the question asked and how Time twisted the words of the question asked.

I don't seem to see the issue? 

The question was: "Generally speaking, do you believe there is or is not discrimination against (Respondent's own group identity) in America today?" 

"Generally speaking" seems to be the key phrase here. 

If you answer yes, you believe there is discrimination against your group generally. 

 

They then provided scenarios in which people felt discriminated against. 

Quite interesting poll imo. 

Anyway, it's just a poll, take it as you wish.

Exactly this. I highly doubt it's that high if we take into account all white or self-identifying as white Americans.

People, it's statistics. The sample size is way too small to be even a remotely accurate estimation.

Why must "think" be added? If this was a poll surveying black people I'd just be "55% of Black Americans report discrimination against them". anyways these numbers really aren't that shocking. it's just a poll anyway

Lol gurl I only made it to trig in high school and barley had to take math in college. But I don't need a stats class to know an overgeneralization when I see one. Those principles might work on inanimate objects, but people are too varied and colorful for their opinions on white oppression to be mathematically determined. And that's that about that

I think Americans in general just like to discriminate for no reason. Even with this absurdly high number, they were by far the ones feeling the least discrminated against.

Obviously I don't live there so I can't state this as a unquestionable truth, but the image that is portrayed to the rest of the world is that people in the US are absurdly self-entitled which makes them not get along with each other or even have compassion in some cases. I know not everyone there is like this, and probably not even the majority of them...but the loud minority that is indeed like this makes it blatantly evident to the outside world.
