Did anyone read the article? I don’t get it, why are some of you laughing about this?

It is, but it’s really annoying when people are rushing to post something like lol on first page, I think they should read first what it’s all about. It’s disturbing even with their explanation.

I don’t see what’s funny.

President Trump

Jesus, can't everyone just let kids be kids? Kids do silly, stupid stuff all the time. Can we stop reading too much into things, please.

Yeesh, I just read the article. I am so glad I did not grow up in these times. Those kids are just being kids. Leave it to SJWs to swoop into anything and everything, wielding the magic anti-fun radar gun and obliterating all in its path. The funny thing is, nobody in that classroom was seeing color.

but why tho :awkney:

Based on what the kids are wearing... probably a visual representation of life 100 years ago and the reality of slavery

still tho... kind messed to literally photograph that or even do it :air:

EDIT: I read the article and as I suspected it was a lesson (though not quite the one i thought). There was nothing wrong with the intent itself I dont think

I think the real issue here was posting it online without thinking it thru because without an explanation of what it is, modern society that loves to jump to conclusions on stuff is gonna get triggered so this is just problematic in that sense

The whole situation is a mess.

And rightfully so the school is getting yelled at. But it’s not like they targeted black children solely. White children where all put into the “chains” but naturally this photo is spreading like wildfire cause it’s a black child.

It’s a very tacky historical lesson to put into a role play situation especially for a elementary school setting.
