Will I EVER get sick of Joanne???

Before Joanne came out and it was known as LG5, I was so excited for a more stripped back, piano-and-guitar rock n roll pop album. When Joanne actually came out, I was extremely disappointed. I was hoping for more tracks in the style of Diamond Heart and Joanne (maybe with a Yoü and I/TEOG/Speechless style thrown in).

It wasn't instant-love, like I had with all other Gaga albums. With other Gaga albums, I immediately loved it so much and become immersed in it 100%, that after a while I didn't want to play it anymore because I had overplayed it. The Fame I stopped playing regularly after 3-4 months. The Fame Monster and Born This Way I stopped playing regularly after 4-5 months. ARTPOP I stopped playing regularly after 2-3 months. Because they were almost the only thing I listened to I loved them so much. With Joanne, I was done spinning the album after about a week or so, minus a few really great songs. I was so incredibly disappointed.

After a few months, maybe in January, something clicked, and I began to LOVE the album. There are a few songs I still don't love (DIC, GG, HG, SP) but I can appreciate them, and the rest I ADORE. Even PI, which I hated upon release, has become one of my most listened-to songs. I suddenly saw the beauty in the album, and played it constantly as I did with the previous albums, but I STILL haven't grown tired of it yet!

I've taken a few breaks from it but I always go right back to it. It's still the main thing I listen to. It's SO GOOD. It used to be my least favorite album but dare I say it's tied with BTW now. I can't believe a year later I'm playing this album like it's brand new.

So that's just something I wanted to share. What about you guys? How do your listening habits with Joanne compare to other albums? Do you love it more than you did when it first came out? :)

Tbh my listening habits for all Gaga's albums were listening to a few songs and liking them and slowly liking more and more and more...

There was a time where I used to only like Applause, Venus and DWUW from ARTPOP :noparty: and now I like every track off of it :laughga:

I'm even more ashamed of the fact that I've only just recently been starting to listen to more tracks from The Fame :icega: I used to only listen to Poker Face, Just Dance, Paparazzi, Eh Eh (:laughga:), LoveGame and Beautiful Dirty Rich but a few months ago I had an epiphany and now I love every track but Brown Eyes (which I can appreciate but I do find it a bit boring :derpga:).

This was very much the same for Joanne for me :laughga: I only liked Million Reasons, John Wayne, A-YO and Perfect Illusion and now I love every track :ladyhaha:

I feel like my past self was such a f**king idiot :derpga:

I was really into the whole thing for a while. Now that we're like a year out, I generally only listen to Diamond Heart and Million Reasons but I still love the album a lot.

The hype was really dying for me faster than it did for the other albums even though I was still listening to my faves regularly but JWT and Five Foot Two hyped me once again like a re-release or something. :woot:

Daenerys

I’ve been an ARTPOP Stan  since it came out, it’s still all I mostly listen to. I hardly listen to Joanne but do appreciate when a song comes on when I’m listening to a playlist.

Youre right, Joanne is like a sophisticated meal made of a series of delicate plates you have to savor slowly and appreciate all the richness on the long run. Now I'm hungry.
