i feel like if a version similar to this but more properly mixed were released, the song would've gone top 10.

It's cute but........... Marry The Night is perfect the way she is and doesn't need a feature imo :tony:

It peaked at 29, so apparently it did

The song is iconic, whether it was a hit or not :reductive:

And that's a fact. Not everything is about the charts.

But how gr8'would it have been to have another top 10 from BTW?

I mean, if charts were the be all end all. But Adam wasn't even making it to #29 with his singles in 2011 so I doubt a feature from him would've improved MTN's chart position :awkney:

And strictly from an artistic point of view, Adam doesn't quite add anything to the song that wasn't there already.

I think Gaga stans would've bought the remix enough to send the song to the top 10 for a week. Three out of four of Gaga's top 10s from that era debuted there.

IDK by the time MTN rolled around, people weren't really out trying to score Gaga another hit. Most fans were happy with how the era was going and were mostly just waiting for tour dates :laughga:

Lol nothing would have saved MTN on the charts. It was the 5th single of a shaky era that had heavy front-loaded promo. For what it is, I'm happy with it. I love the song and the video so I'm content. I do think had it been released around TEOG (before or after it) it could have fared better because those songs play off of each other nicely with their 80s synths while being different enough to warrant each being a single.

It would've been a one week top 10 but I think that if the remix was released the week MTN was 29, the so would've went top 10 for a week based off of Gaga stans that already owned the album and therefore didn't buy the single, buying the remix.

I remember the era well and I think stans were hungry enough to save her top 10 streak to pull it off.

Front loaded promo? Gaga promoted the album the entire year. Marry The Night was the most heavily promoted fifth single I can think of.

I mean the album era. There was so much promo before MTN that by the time she got there people were sick of her. I also don't think it helped that a lot of the performances had a sad or somber tone to them (especially the acoustic ones).
