Is Venus above gaga's range?

On the pre-chorus, the second time she belts "goddess of love," the vocals go up real high. I've noticed however, in all her performances of Venus she stays in the same pitch as the first "goddess of love."

Also, can we just talk about how Venus has her best pre-chorus.

EDIT: Comfortable range

It was back in the ARTPOP era days but maybe not anymore, she has been dropping G5s like confetti

If you see me posting like crazy, I'm either bored or procrastinating.

Idk i feel like gaga saves her voice for other songs? She mostly performed venus flat on tour!

There is this thing with venus that sometimes when i listen to it, it gives me chills and feels like the song of the century or smthng but other times it feels disjointed and a mess:toofunny:

Comfortable range I guess. So live. I'm sure it took a couple of takes to reach the note in studio

There's like a dozen vocal layers, I think she just sticks to one and lets the higher vocals be part of the backtrack. I seriously doubt she can't reach that note, especially since we've seen her hit it and higher notes easily

No, it's a stylistic choice. The vocals on that part go up to C#5, which is not really a difficult note for her to belt.

During the last chorus of this performance, she actually belts a D#5 which is two semi-tones above the note in question.

It's not really about the not being high, it's about the length of the belt in the studio version. There are two main vocal lines that are very close together and almost overlapping. Gaga chooses to shorten the note to take a breath. And because of the shortening, belting that high note doesn't make a lot of sense melodically anymore.

The song really has a lot of vocal harmonies overlaid so she has a lot of possibilities to sing it.

huh, I really thought she hit an f5 in the second "goddess of love." It could possibly be one of the layers.

Can't be a F5, I can sing that note in chest voice and I'm a tenor. :laughga:
