The Cure would have been a hit if it received promotions, performances and a music video, so yes she really is capable of it.

The GP doesnt want a generic Selena Gomez music from her. Dont get me wrong I love TC, but it's generic and could've been sung by anyone. In order to have a real hit, she needs to embrace her uniqueness. People want another BR from her not a so-called Chainsmokers reject. When I say "new BR" I dont necesarily mean going back and repeating herself, but being very unique and different with her sound and lyrics. Being outside the box.

Yeah, your right, but I'm not talking about the music itself,i'm talking about the fact Gaga is still capable of having a hit single.

And I'm sure Gaga will once have a hit. But,NOT a another Bad Romance like you said, because that was her peak hit,her main song, she will not replace/top that. But another Telephone/Alejandro(for example),Gaga can easily make another one,I'm sure.

I don't think she really feels the need for it right now.But who knows, maybe with LG6 she will have another(few)succesful hits.

YES! Gaga always has the potential to do so. It depends on whether if she really wants to at the time.

Of course she can. I mean, TC proves it. If TC was the lead single and given proper promotion, it would've slayed the charts like SOY. :hor:TC isn't even remotely close to her better songs, but it definitely sounds like a mainstream hit. :usrs: Gaga can release an Adele-esque power ballad and it would smash like Hello. (with promo and video ofc) :reductive:

The charts are primarily driven by young teenagers who look for trends, try to rebel against the music of their parents, care about their music taste looking fresh to others, can stay up all night repeat streaming songs, etc. That's why artists with teenage fanbases like mumble rappers who stunt on IG and are followed by swag boys who wanna be cool, and boy bands and college age pop starlets who are loved by teenage girl age listeners, are finding the most chart success now.

I don't want Gaga, a 30 year old woman, to make music specifically with the goal of appealing to teenagers so that she can chart well. (That's pretty much what Katy did with Witness and it was thoroughly panned.) As a fan who is not a teenager, I don't want to listen to the kind of music that is trendy and topping the charts right now. Trend hopping always sounds cheap and desperate to me anyways. The trap inspired tracks off ARTPOP are some of my least favorite material she has released.

My old cat is a tough man, but i cant deny the way he bites my hand and he stabs me, he grabs me by my heart <3

If she wants a hit now all she gotta do is collab with some mainstream rapper release a trap song and shake her ass on a video. But that’s not her. I dont see a n1 hit coming any time soon but she can still make it to the top 5 and I’m okay with that

If she wants a hit, she just need to call Adele.

With the right song, sure. Something like "Chandelier" for example.

However, I don't think she will ever be cool again. At least not like Beyonce/Rihanna. I don't think any pop girl can anymore.

ARTPOP and Joanne had potential hits, the problem is her team, the promo, the label and the lack of iconic music videos
