I agree with an earlier member who posted in the thread that prescriptivism is also a phenomenon which happens to be correlated with ethnocentrism, along with racial/cultural/etc. supremacy (considering the prescriptivistic origins of English coming from Latin, since Latin "couldn't be wrong" and you must speak English as if it were Latin, etc.) Can't wait for some prescriptivist high school English teacher to pull me in their classroom, pull out a book and quote something to me to support their 'argument' so I can say "What did you bring the book that I don't like to be read to out of up for in here?" 俺の勝利は揺るぎない Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
