venusfly 17,885
She has a cult following rather than a GP fan base who are willing to pay more

I love her music so much but would I pay 150 euro (even more than a Madonna concert) to see Lana singing on stage? I don't think so. Like, I love her but she's not the greatest vocalist on the planet...
amk5298 1
It might be because at the end of the show she goes down to the pit and signs things and hugs people stuff like that. Not that it’s an excuse for crazy prices but that might be the reason I wanna get a seat on the lower level so fingers crossed
gagaisitalian 3,573
As a big Lana fan, I am very very very surprised by what they're trying to do for this tour. Lana's peak was 2015 with the Endless Summer Tour. She had three incredible albums under her belt, and hadn't toured much so everyone was perched to see her live. The E.S.T. was very small, less than 20 dates, and each date sold out within seconds. She could have another peak come, but I feel like 2015 was her biggest year. In between that tour and now, she has released Honeymoon which didn't even reach #1 on Billboard and many fans were slightly disappointed. Lust for Life is an amazing album, but still wasn't public friendly and nearly lost the #1 to Meek Mill or Tyler. The Creator. I am shocked that they think now is the time for her to do an arena tour. I think since the amphitheater shows sold out in 2015 they thought that the demand for arenas is there, but honestly I think less people are thinking about Lana these days. Don't get me wrong, I got tickets for Houston and Austin this morning. But I checked the tickets five hours after they went on sale and there were plenty of tickets left, including GA and VIP. That's a stark contrast to when it was a struggle to get tickets to the Endless Summer Tour because they were selling out in seconds. They also shouldn't have raised the prices. They should have kept the same ticket prices from the 2015 tour. Her stage production doesn't translate to $125+fees tickets. And VIP packages for $300 & $400??? Oh well, I think her team got a little big-headed w/ this tour. She will have to do what Halsey is doing and do 4-pack ticket offers if they want to see these shows sell out. BUT: Please, don't blame Lana for this guys. This is clearly her team/record label/live nation calling these shots.

I think 70 euro would've already been expensive enough.

Oh I definitely agree and plus since most fans know she comes down and signs stuff everyone has been crazy I would not survive being in GA at her concerts I’d get trampled like that
Illuminati 15,917
I would go if she came to my country again but that's not happening ever again Maybe she's doing this cause she doesn't tour much and expects people to come to see her the one time she does go on a tour

Tyler and Lana are about as successful when it comes to streaming as each other so I wouldn't really say that's a decline on her past performance, if anything I feel like Lust for Life has gathered more public attention than her last couple albums. I think she will sell the arenas just fine if she drops her prices. She sold out arenas in the UK like a month ago with just a few weeks notice before the shows when most big acts give months for them to sell, my show was packed If she drops the prices she'll do just fine, she's had no drop in popularity. Lana is leagues more successful than Halsey.

But, the fact is this: The Endless Summer Tour sold out in seconds and this tour went on sale earlier today and isn't even close to selling out of just the presale tickets. I don't want to compare it to Europe, because these are two very different markets. I'm speaking about North America alone.

I think the sales so far are purely on price, they're way way above what even the biggest popstars would sell, her standard GA tickets are more expensive than most entry level VIP packages. When a product's price goes up, it doesn't lose popularity, people just don't want to spend that extra money. I really hope they decrease it sensibly so we can see where the demand is really at.
