SlaeUrAnus 15,970
Okay guys, what established singers will be rightfully appreciated when they're gone? Gaga obviously belongs on this list. People will not fully comprehend her musical talent until she is gone, just like MJ. Although, in my opinion, two artists who are really underappreciated are Madonna and Mariah. People associate these two with their recent actions e.g. Madonna apparently trying to act shocking at her age, and Mariah with her lip syncing performances & declining of vocals - whilst they seem to be forgetting how Mariah in her prime was an unparalleled talent and Madonna broke down barriers for her peers. However, when they're gone, people will understand how big, talented and influential they really were. I mean: Spoiler Performances like this, how can you NOT appreciate this? Someone who wrote and produced a song like this and sing it with such power and technique! In my messy era.

AlexanderMagno 10,746
Madonna is considered the Queen of Pop. Mariah has one of the greatest Christmas songs of all time and it's remembered as a great vocalist. To be honest, they all seem pretty appreciated I'd say Jennifer Hudson. And Kelly Clarkson. And down the road, probably Miley Cyrus.
GypsyBabe 22,836
I think Beck should be on this list. He was very influential in fusing genres and influencing music in the early 90s to now. When you listen to his albums, you kind of get the “wow, he really did this sound first” feeling. I think he is extremely undervalued by the GP. In my experience, most people don’t even know who he is. ⚯͛

I love Michael, but had never really listened to any of her music except for her collaboration Scream. I was unaware of just how influential she was, and this forum really helped me see that. I have found myself really changing my views on her. ⚯͛
