maxthewonderdog 300
I really feel it's one of her very best songs. What an impact it has had and it sounds like nothing else on the top 40 currently. It deserves to win and I hope it does.
boyerased 2,886
Let's not forget about the advantages Ed and Kendrick have. Especially Kendrick. It helps that Damn. is acclaimed too. They're both Grammy darlings and are safe choices. Plus they have the bigger songs. I'm still on the fence about being nominated. Honestly her management might need to pull some strings. Gaga might need to pull off a larger than life image, that is wrong for her not to be considered. A Grammy performance might seal the deal too. Honestly her management might need to pull some strings. Gaga might need to pull off a larger than life image, that is wrong for her not to be considered. A Grammy performance might seal the deal too. As I mentioned earlier, Humble is nominated much for its popularity and commercial success. Songwriting-wise, which is the main winning factor of SOTY, a rap song rarely gets any attention due to the lyrics. I do believe Kendrick will sweep all the rap awards but he might be snubbed in the general fields like Bey this year as the voters come from different genres. Ed is pretty much nominated for his commercial success. If Shape of You is nominated, I doubt it will win because of its songwriting controversy. SOY is actually also quite different from the previous songs he was nominated for, like Thinking Out Loud. Grammy voters prefer the stripped back sound, and on the list, only MR really fulfills this
