That would probably be her best bet artists can still release music after then but it's just harder like the song has to be a really big hit I remember when she released marry the night in like December and how much of a mess that was lol I would prefer her to either release a new song in 2 weeks or wait until January

yeah same

Apparently she had a meeting at Interscope this week so maybe she planned a release for the next two weeks, finger crossed :)

Pitchfork dragged End Game by Taylor by its roots (called it Taylor & Max Martin pandering to Urban market because it's hip on the radio) and also said the rest of Reichspublication is bad too. If they're gonna review it, it's gonna be a 25 or 30 on metacritic too. :air:

inb4 a 2,8 mess like ED

lmao

They didn't review her last album at all as like a shade (Because appearently it was beneath them to even think about her) but I think they're gonna give LASHINGS this era :air:

Interscope's release strategies have been so bizarre lately. They followed the same format for Maroon 5 and Selena Gomez this year ... two standalone singles a few months apart, and then a "lead" single several months later (assuming Wolves is a lead single), and then the album.  With Eminem I guess they're doing single a week before the album, assuming his album is coming next week. With Gaga, they did The Cure as a standalone, and assuming something is coming before the end of the year, it looks to be similar to the M5/SG strategy. Perhaps it's just a way to keep popularity afloat on streaming services and radio?

I think that's exactly it. Artists don't earn money from albums anymore but singles still keep them relevant. The Cure literally cured Gaga's monthly Spotify listeners and I am glad she is working with people who produced it

live each day like Gaga might drop an album

It seems to be working, because M5 and Selena Gomez are still as popular as ever, even though her singles underperformed and Cold kind of flopped as well. The Cure was definitely the step in the right direction for a huge pop comeback. Interscope seems to know what they're doing; just hope Gaga knows what she's doing.
