When you are trying to establish yourself you're basically a money-making machine and try to grab quick checks anywhere you go in case you might be just a fluke and might not be able to establish yourself. I feel like that's why Gaga just naturally prefers to collab with her peers and older legends. They can allow themselves to be in the moment. They're not paranoid about missing the next paycheck and not being able to pay rent despite having a Top 10 hit. If gaga asked them do you really think they would say no? giskardsb 12,565
Because ahe doesn't want to add elements to the music simply for marketing. 99% of Collabs are nothing more than that. If you treat your music as a product it makes total sense to add trendy collabs

Yes, they always bail out whenever they hear Gaga going "But Imma need you to be in the same room when we co-write."
SilkSpectre 114
It's so obvious when people are doing it just to boost their record and it's not authentic. I remember her saying in an interview she thinks it's important you stand on your own two feet as much as you can and when you collab it should be because you genuinely want to make a record with that person. I'm glad Gaga doesn't collab that often.Although when I thought there was gonna be a Rihanna/Gaga collab for sexxx dreams I was hella excited She came through with the Florence collab though
