Life in a Day - 6/10

life-in-a-day-poster02.jpg

I thought this movie would be more interesting than it really was....

It basically showcases a day in the life of people across the world, using mostly homemade YouTube clips. Some of the stuff was interesting, but i think it would have been better and more interesting if they focused mainly on exotic places like Africa and Asia. There were way too many clips from North America and the UK...

But all in all, it was still pretty good.

If anyone plans on watching this movie, make sure you turn on the subtitles so you know where the clips take place.

Thirteen

Rating: 9/10

Thirteen is about a 12- 13 year old "good" girl who becomes negatively influenced by one of the most popular girls at her school after the two somehow become the best of friends. The only thing I didn't like about the film is the fact that we don't see much of the "good" girl side of Tracy Freeland (the film's main star)- they should have shown us more of that in the beginning. Other than that, I really liked this movie- it sort of reminds me of a similar phase that I went through during my early teenage years, and I'm pretty sure most young teens could connect to some aspects of Tracy's metamorphosis.

Arctic Predator 6/10

Good casting (Lucy Brown from Primeval for example), but a bit of a loose plot. Still, not bad for an Antarctic sci-fi/thriller

KillerQueen

Wonderland

7/10

It's good, but it's too much like all of the others in it's genre. It's not at all boring.

The Art of Getting By

Rating: 3/10

Zzzzzzz. A basic film with a basic plot-line: "our young and cute hero overcomes his dilemma and emerges victorious!" However, if you're a thirteen year old female with raging hormones you'd probably only pay attention to George Z. as he effortlessly dominates the scenes with his sweet looks, and will probably go bat-**** insane when you catch a glimpse of his raging boner. Oh and he also takes care of a school years worth of homework in 3 weeks. #datdedication. Yawn. Next.
