We get new music sooner
When it flops, we can say it was due to heavy competition
When it's critically panned, people will forget about it by the end of the year anyways""

most users tend to have a bias against other users who have less than a reputation of 1000, but they don't know that you write for Entertainment Weekly, so :lolga:

Hah, as I'm learning!

That's great! Still not counting on it to be a huge hit though, it doesn't exactly read "blockbuster". But who cares as long as it's good :lolly:

IT is a classic horror film, even if you haven't seen it you still know its a clown. I feel like most young people don't even know the A Star Is Born film series so it won't have any hype from being a remake.

I know, you know, yes, but many people do not know. I am not arguing tho that more people know "IT" than ASIB. I only said it was not the best example and that "IT" was never huge.

Not a good sign. The earlier in the year a movie comes out, the more obvious it is that it's a clunker.

Great Gatsby was supposed to be Dec, but got a May release date. It won both Oscars it was nominated for, and opened in 2nd behind Iron Man 3. A May slot is perfect since summer is right around the corner.

It was pretty big. Not massive but pretty popular.

That's great, but I wonder when the JWT dates are going to happen... They have have to be in January/February if that's the case...

This is exactly what I thought. I hope she doesn't cancel.

the scars on my mind are on replay.

Just in time for Cannes Film Festival, I see... :hor:

If I think my two major Gaga's events, her Shows in Paris and the Movie/Soundtrack, were like one year from each another, and now are going to be almost at the same time... :rip:

I mean: sure its great that the movie is coming sooner b/c that means we're getting the soundtrack, trailer, etc sooner. So as fans it's nice we won't have to wait as long.

But, an earlier release means the studio has little faith it'll be an awards contender, which means they probably have little faith in the film as a whole. I personally am disappointing by this news b/c against all i odds, I was hoping it would be good, but now this seems to have confirmed the contrary.

Lol don't act like you know a single thing what they're thinking. You don't. Now you n everyone like you can take several seats and stop with the bullshitt.

Again, I'm not saying it was not. I was actually born like two years after it came out. I do know it was popular. I just said it was not huge, which you are confirming, also it's counterproductive to use it as a example while discussing ASIB for various reasons. Also, I agree with what you said about "Gatsby".

What's with this attitude? It's just a discussion. People have different opinions, you know.

who cares about the oscars at this point, let's just be happy we'll be getting new music in may. if it's great she'll get nominated, if not then what. no one should be able to take the fun away.
