JoanneMonster 9,074 Posted September 20, 2017 Share Posted September 20, 2017 Today spanish police entered the houses of catalan politicians and registered them and arrested 16 people just for supporting catalonias independence. Im so mad right now, Spain is keeping us from our rights. We have the right to vote and decide our future. This is supposed to be a democracy, they cant just send spanish police to register peoples houses (taking out spanish flags out of the window of their cars, just to provoque). People are going crazy right now were I live, even people who didnt want catalonias independence, now they want it just because Spain is keeping everyone from their rights. I'm very angry and I needed to express myslef. There is a manifestation right now in Barcelona, lets see how it goes. I think Spain just lost Catalonia forever, doing what they did today made people that were not on any of the sides of this issue become independentists just because they dont want anything to do with spain, because spain is treating us like if this was a dictatorship I See You Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...

No, they didn't have the right to enter this people's houses while they were not there without a judicial order on the first place. Catalans are not allowed to be independent because of the constitution, but ''laws'' are made to be modified over the years and people should be able to vote and decide their future. Spain (in general) doesn't want Catalonia's independence because a very big part of the money of the country is generated here. But that's not the case anymore, it's not anymore about being independentist or not, it's about believing in democracy, and Spain's government is showing us they don't believe in it.
