H20 ignored those events but didn't necessarily contradict them in any way. Unless it's revealed that Laurie survived her fall in Resurrection, this will be quite a retcon they're working with.

It takes place right after Halloween II thus anything after that does not exist.

From what I've read, the whole "takes place after 2" thing was from A DIFFERENT treatment that ultimately never got made. It was allegedly supposed to focus on the daughter of the new cop from Halloween II.

 

THAT SAID, even if this does follow Ressurection, all we saw was Laurie get stabbed in the back and then fall! She could still be alive! People in horror movies have survived worse- Think Dewey in Scream.

Also, MICHAEL HAD HIS HEAD CUT OFF IN H20 AND THE WRITERS FOUND A WAY TO EXPLAIN THAT AWAY. I don't think we're all going to be sitting there watching it, angry that the situation isn't "movie plausible".

Scream Queens says hello. 

And this whole persistent rumor about her hating on the horror genre and the films she was in needs to die off already. She even went to the Halloween convention years after making Resurrection to explain why she had negative feelings towards it. 

She never wanted to do Resurrection, but the studio wouldn’t agree to make H20 unless she returned for another sequel, so she agreed to return as long as her character was killed off. 

I met her last year and she’s a wonderful woman.

Though H20 was a fitting end until Resurrection came. I still remember wanting to burn my video rental watching that crap and when she died. Can't imagine how people felt in theaters after it happened.

I hope she kills him off once and for all.

As much as I love all of them, aside from Resurrection, the series should have ended at H20.

H20 definitely had a lot of the Scream influence even using their score which felt unlike Halloween but the ending was definitely the perfect ending. With her chopping off his head.

The original score as great. I don’t get the hate for H20, who cares if it is similar in vein to Scream? They had mutual people who worked on them, and was made in an era where that was how horror was written.

It was until Scream Queens she kind of appreciated it but she distanced herself a lot from it after H20/Resurrection.

Yes, you are referring to the scrapped treatment before the current writers took over. That involved the first portion of the film taking place directly after H2, with everyone gathering for Michaels execution, which he escapes. 

The script for the sequel to 2009’s Halloween 2 is also on the web, and thankful that crap never saw the light of day either.

Well, she definitely spoke against horror and plenty of people I follow on Instagram who have met her had horrible experiences not getting their stuff signed because she scoffed at it or refused to even acknowledge her other films. You may have had a great experience but many others didn't. After the last two Halloween films, she did mostly comedy and other genres.

Scream was successful at the time and the Recent Halloween film was not so peoples argument on that front is just silly. 

Idk, I mean, I’m sure people have ran into issues meeting everyone. Hell, people complain about Gaga and the backstage experience so they will bitch about anything tbh. 

She was hella kind and funny when I met her. I went to just meet her, and she was doing a children’s book signing, so I bought the book out of respect, but there were people there with Halloween shirts and merchandise which I thought was kinda silly, so I could understand if she didn’t want to sign it.
