As someone who flew to Chicago to see the BTWB, only to have it cancelled, I understand how much this sucks.

But anyone who actually blames Gaga for this is a piece of garbage.  She's not well. Get over it.

I personally think it was really disrespectful of Gaga despite her injuries and all that hip issues. She's been talking this pain for a couple of days (I guess it had crossed my mind since the other cancels) and she should have been responsible enough to cancel at least three or four days before the actual concert.

Here in Brazil there's a culture of being in front of the arena/stadium for days, weeks and even months along. It would justify the refund I guess

she can't control the chronic pain, she can be totally fine an hour before the show and then her body will suddenly be in the most intense pain ever

Eddie A Michael

Maybe Gaga should just concentrate on releasing quality songs/singles and music videos and performing on tv instead so people get a piece of her all the time and she doesn't have to over exert herself doing tours.. She's sounding more and more like Janet Jackson..

What does this mean?

Because Janet Jackson cancelled a lot of dates on previous tours, and also last year when she got pregnant at 50 (!) and had to cancel an entire world tour. However in the 80s and 90s Janet toured very hard and hardly ever cancelled a show. But she was younger then and superbly fit and in great health. I grew up in the 90s with Janet's music and she was very popular then. Janet is currently on tour now on the 'State of the World' tour until December in the US, then Europe and rest of the world next year. Def go see her if you get the chance, one of the best perfomers in music history, closest to Michael Jackson and by far the best female dancer I have seen perform.

I live in a kinda small and non-Western country, so having an icon like her to be here and perform is really impossible.( I still cant travel abroad yet)

I'm 17 now, but I was luckily given the opportunity to get access to the music world ( especially in the golden 80s and 90s eras) by my dad when I was around like 4 or 5. All For You Tour in Haiwai is one of the first concert DVDs I've ever watched and it shooked me so hard I can tell you. The intro's interlude, the choreography ,the outfits and the band...man I LIVE ! Janet is a legend for sure.

We all know Gaga has been hurt for a long time and she is in a lot of pain...

Thanks for the attention.
Sorry for the broken english.
Lots of love to Gaga.

Thank you for your informed comments. Hopefully the situation will improve and Latin-American fans also get to enjoy Gaga's live shows. Meow.

oh my god, no one is yelling at her here, he just wants to express how does he feel, as you have empathy with gaga, can you also imagine to be in the brazil/southamerican fans side? imagine to do hundreds of KMs after months of working your ass off from nothing to get the money as some people have been explaining, imagine to be waiting half a decade to see your idol, imagine you miss it just hours before of the event that you've waiting for all this time, imagine all the money from the transport and the hotel booking LOST for nothing,...

they just want to pass all that rage/sadness/depressing position they're in right now, and i think the best place is here, we're the only ones we can understand (or at least TO TRY) how does it feel, because we're gaga fans too, from the rest of the world. they don't want her to be in pain, they want her to get well as we do, but when a disgrace happens, sometimes you HAVE to get mad and to cry to let it go and keep going with your things in order.

no one on this forum is saying/gonna say "**** you gaga, you're a c*nt" or "kill yourself", and you guys perfectly know what he's trying to communicate.

I'm so sorry for you TheAlienatedNYC, hope you all can make it soon, I'm sure she'll be back in Brazil with this tour if she doesn't have to cancel it! she has you all tattooed in her skin

I'm totally fine with this specific cancelation, given the circumstances, but the fact that her last visit to Latin America was in 2012 is, in fact, very problematic.

Joanne sold like water in the desert in Brazil and even then, there were no attempts to bring the tour to Latin America. Even if there is no interest from the local contractors (which is a lie) she could make a trip simply to visit, just to say: hey, I still remember that there is this continent in the world.

We have to point out that the neglect of most popstar (including Gaga) with more peripheral regions of the globe exists and is very large and hypocritical. Fans from North America and Europe will never know how it feels. Fans from Latin America and Africa, put your passion on someone who respects you, someone who sees and appreciates your love and your dedication.

OT: I know she said she would be back to Brazil soon, but do not get excited, it's probably a lie.

That pretty much says it all. Its so frustating to see her doing like 20 shows in America, singing and dancing in the rain and probably 20 more in Europe while we lost our only day.

... I know you guys are sad and devastated by this and that many of you sacrificed a lot to be able to attend this show, but sorry to be blunt: cancellation is always a risk when it comes to shows, and she never forced any of you guys to get out of your way to get a ticket.

Also, saying Rock in Rio would never welcome her again is ridiculous: she had a valid reason for cancelling, and she still is one of the biggest acts of the planet. People holding a grudge against her right now are literally not in their right mind - if you're a real Little Monster, you'd know Gaga is literally the most stubborn person when it comes to her shows and that she still performs in conditions many other artists usually run away from.

She deserves all the rest in the world. Cancel the whole tour and take care of your body for once. She never stops, and it can't be good for her. She deserves to take time for herself and reflect on the moment.
