My original post wasn't to contradict or create argument, it's just that China has a history with child labor, and it wasn't that long ago that it was heavily prevalent. I have done volunteer work at a middle school in the outskirts of Beijing for three summers (2011,2013,2014) and almost half of the kids there told me they worked at their parents' factories/farmland right after school. These kids are between 11-13 years old, so yeah, child labor exists in China and it's quite prevalent. If you live downtown somewhere of course you'd never see it. I've lived in China for 11 years. There are lots of things I love about the country, but you can't deny that really horrible sh*t still exists there.

Hopefully they will be eliminated ASAP. But maybe you are right, I live in an urban area downtown so I maybe I haven't Witness(on Spotify)ed those things, but at the same time most of the kids, especially boys, are treated like emperors, not workers.
