venusfly 17,885
The way politicians used 9/11 as a tool to get their way with practically everything year after year is disgusting, complete lack of respect for everyone involved.
Letmelivemylife 8,715
What's even more twisted is the tourists who treat the 9/11 memorial like its f*cking Disneyland by letting their kids scream and run around and spilling coffee all over the memorial nameplates. A**holes your essentially standing on a mass grave. Have some f*cking respect. Maybe I'm more sensitive to it because my friends/classmates and I physically watched the tower fall. I love you monsters. I'd be unfixably broken without you

I can't even believe people would do that. I went there two years ago and it was so powerful. I was 18 months old at the time so I never really saw when the towers fell in real time and I'm not even from NYC, but at the memorial, I felt like I was about to cry the whole time, like it was this energy in the air that felt so heavy. I remember my oldest sister coming to pick me up from school and I just jumped in her arms and cried my eyes out. We fought like cats and dogs but on that day I had never been so happy to see her.
