The user I quoted said "standard" and the standard/most common range for a D in America is 60%-69%

It *is*? Woah. Oh wait. I forgot I'm old lol that changed while I was in school. At a certain point anything below 65 was an F, but I recall now they updated that several years back probably to not be a$$bags. Showing my age :icega:

Her grandma has a point though, Gaga has been very maudlin about an aunt she never knew.

I love judas SO MUCH but I canʹt look like a copycat of JLO!!!!

Rotten? It's a 2.5/4 review. Shouldn't that be "fresh"? That's weird.   It's 62.5% fresh if you convert it.

I emailed Rotten Tomatoes, anyways. Here:

I sent a question as well why they considered it rotten when numerically, it should count as fresh

someone should send a help request and ask them why 2.5/4 = 62.5% is rotten and not fresh, they might adjust it... if you ask, ask kindly

I sent one

i checked, all 2.5/4 reviews count as rotten, so at least it's not biased

That is really weird because in their tomato meter, 60% starts as fresh

I Agree... you need a 75% (3/4) for it to count as positive... lets await their response

Resisting the pushed-for pathos, the grandmother compliments Gaga on the song but tells her “don’t be maudlin.” Gaga is disappointed, and director Chris Moukarbel probably was as well, for sappy seems to be his goal.

Wtf does this even mean :air:

Anyways why is this rotten, anything over 50% should be fresh lmao

"Entertaining but manipulative."

This review from The Globe and Mail was credited as "rotten" in Rotten Tomatoes with a 2.5/4 score. The review was so vague and poorly written it deserves some individual discussion here. I don't even understand why it goes in Rotten Tomatoes. It is the first negative review I've read for the documentary.

"Joanne, the title track to the singer’s new album, is a balladic homage to an aunt who died young. Resisting the pushed-for pathos, the grandmother compliments Gaga on the song but tells her “don’t be maudlin.” Gaga is disappointed, and director Chris Moukarbel probably was as well, for sappy seems to be his goal."

Are we expecting everyone liking the doc? Are we expecting every critic praising it? I think everyone has a right to express an opinion, especially when you are a Top Critic on of the biggest movie rating sites on the internet.

Sure, it's a bummer to see that review, but it was expected, to say the least.

And yeah, it should be rated fresh, not rotten.

He means that everyone moved on from Joannes's death, even her mother, yet Gaga seems to actually be disappointed or not happy with grandmother's advice to move on instead.

THANK YOU...5F2 seems great, but we can't expect it to get 100% with everyone just fawning over it. Tbh I'm surprised that this is just the first one (no shade but critics)

Anything under 75% for an individual review is rotten afaik, and I kinda agree with the reasoning that anything under 59% (as a whole) isn't fresh.
