I would have chosen EDM if it stood for what I says on the can, namely Electronic Dance Music. However, the term has been hijacked by idiots who clearly haven't set foot on a dancefloor ever. I don't think any of us can really predict what she was going to do, I mean, Joanne was a pretty far off from what most of us thought LG5 would be. If I had to try and guess though, I'd say it'll definitely be pop. Pop's a big genre and just because there are elements of other genres within a song—or album—doesn't mean that it isn't pop. I think she may continue with the Joanne sort of direction, but maybe incorporate more of her "pop" elements. I remember that recently, I think it was during an interview with someone for Gaga: Five Foot Two, but she said that LG5 was originally going to be an album with her "Gaga pop persona," but she changed it after Bowie's death and after the Oscars: she wanted to express her true self in Joanne (not to say that she wasn't her true self in past eras, because she completely was; however, past eras looked at "Gaga" as the artist, while Joanne really looks at "Gaga" as a person, as Stefani). For this reason, I don't know if she will fully go back to eras like TF or TFM because it seems like "that Gaga," was, to some extent, a facade.
