Lady Palutena 3,147
Ah I kinda don't want this beutiful song to be on the album :( Becasue I fear the general idiotic public will start throwing dirt at it and That'd hurt me cause this song it moves me so much that it makes me cry. I bet a 100$ people will claim it's disrespectful or that it freakin encourages suicide or some **** and I don't want that to happen to such a masterpiece. :confuse: I know, that's totally unfair! When other pop singers sing about getting **** drunk and waking up with a torn vagina, nobody yells at them. Or when rappers talk about shooting up a neighborhood or slapping some woman around, nobody reprimands them. GaGa is one of the few who has tried to bring feeling and meaning back into music but every time she does, people trash her about it. They're just mad she ain't a basic b---h. GaGa a--logy: Sing a song about suicide and personal thoughts = Get called attention-***** and exploiting someone else for your own gain. Can anyone explain the references in the lyrics? Like the swimming pool thing etc.? I don't know that much about Princess Diana, so I'm not sure what part is about her. Did she do d--gs? That may be a reference to Diana as well as I read somewhere that Diana loved to show off her good swimming skills for crowds at her pool. The d--gs may be a reference to other superstars who have died of d--g overdose. Adoremus in caelum, Palutena. Dea luminis.

Dayman 6,122
I was expecting for it to be about Princess Di, but I feel like this is much more personal than having a song that would be literally about Princess Di herself.

David Ward 9,198
Well, if it doesn't reflect the rest of the album in any way, so it's probably not gonna make it to the final cut... I hope she leaks the recorded version if it doesn't .. I;m not sure even if there is a studio version She said she never performed it for any one, but she could have meant that about the fans though. It's possible there is a studio version.

pink sushi 4,351
Woah.... This song is so sad and depressing... I don't know what to think of it. The lyrics are very deep and meaningful....it's nice to hear songs from a pop star that aren't about s-x and partying. I've never been a big fan of ballads though.... Freddie 0
She didn't write this recently, this exact song was mentioned in a magazine quite a while back. That magazine is how we got a lot of clues for the album theme, but it looks like this song isn't thematically related to THE NEXT ONE (so you can all hush with that Kill The Bitch, decay of the blonde icon stuff). Speechless and Yoü and I are flawless. I will give you speechless, but as for Yoü and I ...

Miel 15,009
Because a year ago or so, everybody thought SLY will be a # 1 song? I'm not sure what you mean? I'm just gonna assume you mean SLY was a risk to put out, nobody thought it would go #1, and it did and blew everybody away. In that case, yes. Sometimes a bold risk pays off (though not always). Though, SLY had very simple, relateable lyrics; Princess Die (and assuming some of the album) does not, so that probably helped. 3 points in and ready for more
