I think that is even then problematic  I mean that's like a bit more saying there is no state discrimination against black people but I still believe they are inferior. (it's bit more radical I know)

You basically did. You said to write about the nicer things in Islam that people don't know about. That's diversion from the issue. You don't want to focus on the uncomfortable reality, so you conveniently want to start only talking about the nice parts. Again, religion isn't about discarding the bits you don't like. You have to address it all.

Thing is, in my country, religion is not a necessity, if you don't want it to be. You answer to yourself, not religion. The law of the land comes first, not religion. So, it's very hard to be truly accepting of a religion that restricts freedoms that are protected under our laws, that practices things that are illegal in our country, that dresses its women in clothes that our culture finds threatening (covering everything except your eyes is what criminals do to conceal their identities in my country). I have no problem with a Muslim living here and practicing their religion in private, integrating with the locals and adhering to our laws. But when they start forcing their religion onto others, isolate themselves from non-Muslims and start demanding that we change our laws to suit them...then I have a problem.

Well, then virtually any sentence can have sinister undertones.  My point is I didn't mean it that way, if anyone misinterprets it, it's not really my problem. I accept that not everyone will understand me and I don't feel it's my job to explain to them if they didn't, I'm not a teacher.

I told him to post nicer things  because there are mostly negative threads about GGD on Islam (which I understand why) and you're saying I told him to actually remove those negative threads because apparently I want people to ignore the bad parts of Islam (which he can't actually do). Look, I'm not trying to start a discussion here. I said what I had to say, if you don't understand, it's fine.

And I don't even know how the 3rd paragraph is relevant to the things I said (I'm not even like that so...) but you don't have to explain, I'd rather not talk about this further. Good day!

so a lot of people have been taking this p*rn thing that I said completely out of context. i wasn't trying to brag about how I love watching p*rn. it was just a joke that i often use with my friends when i tend to forget things a lot. not more than that. but it is clearly my fault tho, and I hope you guys could understand that i'm not a native speaker (but i was trying hard to sound like one) and sometimes my way of saying things are a little bit different.

yes you are right on this one. i might not be good enough to call myself as a Muslim but not every Muslims are like me. also, being committed to a religion is an extremely hard thing to do. but the whole reason why i even bother to write a comment on this thread is because i feel like people out there really need to know about Islam and respect it as a religion. i cant stand when people were hating so much on a religion because of its followers. it's like hating America because of Trump. yes Trump is the president of the United States but he doesn't represent America.

That comes down to that age old argument in religion...of you can't choose your skin color, but you can "choose who you have sex with". These uber-religious types interpret their scriptures in a certain way that leads them to believe that homosexual acts are a sin like premarital sex. That doesn't mean that they are going to believe that the government should step in and prohibit or punish premarital sex...but they don't condone it. 

Religion is complex. People's relationship to religion is complex. You can have Catholics that are Tea Party Trumpers and Catholics like Lady Gaga. We have gay Muslims here at GGD.

I completely disagree with your standpoint on clothing and homosexuality however I appreciate the discussion you have created. Your beliefs are very controversial on a site like this but i applaud you for remaining civil and respectful here.

I must ask, do you personally believe homosexuality is wrong or do you feel you have to believe it because of your religion?

i find it very strange that you are restricting the definition of gaga/gaga fansite to that !

gaga = what you said above (these are true facts and a part of her) + her music her art her talent, her messages her behviour ...

i mean one can appreciate her music/art/personnality and totally feel unconcerned by her personal life / sexuality , that's how is tolerance defined...it's not this or that only! 

for exemple : you have a  friend with whom u dont agree at 100% with what he does, it doesnt mean u should  avoid him as long as you  are aware that he has other things/aspects u like  ...the same applies to gaga and her fanpage! some are here more for her activism other for her art,  others for both and the list is long, our world is not black or white only !
