Spoiler I should mention too that now that is projected to hit Florida people seem to care more. When it was just going to destroy the Carribean islands it wasn't that much of a big deal. [[[Those who have Carribean family showed concern, those who didn't only care when it hits the US.]]] It's how this life works I guess we all should know that. I am also hoping that The US sends immediate help to my country Puerto Rico, I know that our president is a man who most likely despises Latinos so im just wishing they take immediate action when this happens and that they don't forget about my country. Even if it had 400kph+ winds, it would still be a category 5. A deadly one at that. Also, everyone was freaking out before it was expected to hit the US. I remember hearing about it developing off the coast of Africa last Friday. Even then, people were scared because it was rapidly intensifiying. Anyway, everyone please be safe. calmar 22,768 Posted September 5, 2017 Share Posted September 5, 2017 Also the OP should specify recorded history, because we know other hurricanes that existed prior to modern record-keeping were also capable of being monstrously strong - the hurricane that hit Galveston in 1900, the hurricane that killed over 20,000 people in the Caribbean in 1780, and so forth.
