I think it's because recent Gaga songs truly fit her voice whereas old Gaga songs are fast paced so her singing style was more nasally. In my messy era. Its more about having better technique on the newer songs, she knows how to raise and lower her larynx now so she can get real husky deep notes, she rarely did it before tho.
