Earlier this week, the country’s Ministry of Welfare and Social Affairs filed a brief with the Israeli Supreme Court which said they had “no objection to the practice”. This came in response to a petition filed from gay rights and religious reform groups. The decision to drop this opposition was reportedly made by Welfare Minister Haim Katz, whose office released a statement saying there should be “no place for setting threshold conditions” for adoption. Gay marriage is recognized when done in a foreign country and there are also no laws against gay adoption. This in the OP is about the Israeli government which now not opposes gay adoption.
