I wasn't a fan of most of THe Fame but now I know every word, and other than that it's mostly her ballads that took getting used to. Didn't like MR, didn't like Angel Down. In all honesty, minus her signature songs (BR, Paparazzi, PF, JD, Telephone, Alejandro), her music can be a bit hard to get into because a lot of it is unconventional. I actually instant loved everything Gaga related until Born This Way happened. Born This Way probably because TFM was just too iconic, everything would sounded less iconic after this album. It took me some weeks to get used to the sound and then I really loved it, and now it's one of my favorite Gaga songs. Judas, a song I didn't like, the production felt flat/outdated to me, so that really bothered me. It took some months to really enjoy it, but now I can still bop to it. The video probably helped the song too. I've always liked Bloody Mary, but this fanbase overrated it in my opinion. Same for Scheiße, I've always liked Schieße a lot, but I didn't get the hype. But they both grew on my with time and thanks to the JWT they both got that last push. Bloody Mary finally is on my iconic list. Schieße is still one of my favorites too. They probably sounded too different at the time. Actually the same happened with Heavy Metal Lover, I didn't like it at the beginning, because it probably wasn't pop enough, but as soon I got used to the BTW sound I started to love this song and it's now one of my all time favorites. So you might understand why I never really liked the album as much as the other monsters did, but since the songs were growing on me, so was the album. I think, because I loved The Fame (Monster) so much, I really needed the time to enjoy the new Gaga sound. At the time I only liked pop music, thank god I saw the light. I can't remember songs from ARTPOP that had to grew on me... I loved all of them and the song I didn't like are still not growing on me, so yeah. I've always loved Mary Jane Holland and it only got even more iconic with time, so it grew on me, but I never disliked it, so yeah. MANiCURE probably grew on me a little bit too.
