Morphine Prince 109,685
Washington (CNN) - A federal judge in Texas late Wednesday temporarily blocked key provisions of a state law that banned sanctuary jurisdictions in the state. The law was slated to go into effect on Friday. The bill -- referred to as SB4 -- established civil penalties for local government and law enforcement officials who didn't comply with immigration laws and detention requests. Additionally, under the law, government entities would be fined $25,500 for every day the law was violated.
Morphine Prince 109,685
Racism loses again for now. This law would have basically made all cops ICE agents and they would obviously racially profile people. Meanwhile punishing cities who don't go through with the law. socotra 3,357
Baffles me how backward the Texas state government is. Hopefully the liberal tide washes away the Trumpists over the next decade or two.

It sucks for those of us who live in the major cities which are largely more liberal to be stuck with this government because of the rurual conservatives.
