Yea I think Taylor hit that Beyonce/Adele status where she can drop stuff and people just eat it up. I dont think anyone outside of twitter actually cares or knows about her beef.

When has Beyoncé ever pulled these kinds of numbers?

I think it would be hard for first week sales of Reputation to match 1989's. Even Reputation is worse than 1989, I just think numbers like 1989/25 are impossible these days.

But, her singles could beat 1989's singles (like LWYMMD beating SIO), so it depends on which way you look at the era to decide if it outpeaked a previous era.

I've also talked to some major Swifties and we all think she may do an arena tour to make the shows more personal since she is showing such a different side of her this era. I hope she does two arena shows per city rather than one big stadium show.

Just sit and watch her slay

The album itself definitely won't flop, but as for the singles, i'm not sure, she just has to keep people interested & continue to make the right moves at the right time.

If the second & third singles still smash, then she might re-peak.

I just don't understand why everyone is eating this up. No hate, I wish her the best, I just don't understand the massive appeal.

To be honest shortly after the 1989 era ended, I never thought Taylor would ever top herself again, and I had so many doubts, but seeing how well LWYMMD is already doing, I think she definitely has potential to outdo how well 1989 did. Even if reputation doesn't sell as well as 1989 it will still be very successful for sure.

She'll have success but I highly doubt it's going to be on 1989's level, maybe not even Fearless level. It's so rare to re-peak from one album to the next. If you do, it's usually within your first few albums, not from album #5-#6. There's no way she's selling 1 million in the first week anyway. Post-1989, Adele's been the only one who's been able to do that since and she was benefitting from a huge break. It doesn't seem to matter how well you promote and sell yourself, no one can sell 1 million first week anymore, even the biggest seller of the year can't do it. She might get pretty close to it, but she'll underperform this time. And there's no way she's getting 3 #1's, 2 top tens and a top 20 in the US this time. Female artists just simply can't do that right now. We all saw the fall Katy had from Prism to Witness, single-wise. One hit seems to be the ultimate peak for popstars currently. Even Ed's only had one huge hit in the US this era. I think we're well past the days of Teenage Dream albums where every single released goes on to become a hit. 1989 is the closest we've come to that kinda album since. I doubt the same artist could top themselves with their very next outing. Touring-wise, though, she could really do well, especially if she extends it much further abroad than she's ever done. 1989 could have pulled in so much more money if she'd done a proper world tour instead of a measly 10 countries. I don't think she could tour that far and wide in Asia outside Japan but come on, there's enough demand in Europe. Maybe even Mexico and Brazil. South Africa if she's feeling really brave. If she does so, it could be her biggest ever tour.

I feel like the era will fall flat if the second single isnt better than the first
