The article is unfortunately a little bit misleading.

The EDEKA supermarket in Hamburg has removed all products last Saturday, which have been produced outside of Germany as well ss products produced in Germany with ingredients from outside of Germany (f. e. all pizza from the freezer because of the tomato sauce, which was produced in Spain).

The reason for the removement is quite simple:

They were filming over the weekend inside of the location a commercial, which will be aired in September 2017!

EDEKA is well known for their great but also political/socially critical commercials.

This commercial was a huge success - everyone was talking about it...

So sad to be honest...
