Another ill-thought out thread from a <200 post member...

uh, I'm fairly certain he's been here longer than you as he was on 1.0 in 2009, and post count has absolutely no bearing on the relevance of someone's opinion. sit down.

Actually, Judas did good in Croatia. I mean, at this moment a lot of people love it. Like, when we're singing Gaga's songs school, Judas is always the first one. They're loving Judas. It was also in Top 10 on Billboard, that's pretty good.

And yes, I found 2 babies awkward too.

Thank you. I didn't realize that the amount of posts that I have displayed is proportional to the validity of my opinions.

Song was simply not made for radio. Too much of an assault on your ears. I know a lot of people who think it's her best song tho :)

The hard instrumental and grating vocal effects are what made the song less appealing for me. I prefer the Demo because there's less junk done to her voice. Also, the song had too many parts that didn't fit together well. The chorus was great, but was too bubbly for a dark and tribal song. Also, the bridge feels a bit out of place. Some of the lyrics are a bit dumb too (ear condom, love is like a brick you can....)

The "Love is like a brick" part is one of the best!

But, I do sort of agree with you. Especially since she had such trouble belting out the verses during live versions.

Gaga is Life

My mum didn't like it because it was too "jerky". She hated the juda-as and judas juda-a-a parts. But she liked the holy fool bit though.

i must say i love judas but it DID underperform. peaking into the top 10 means nothing, other songs were #1 and underperformed

Forrest Gump

You guys still talking about this? It was a top ten hit, wasn't it? So it didn't flop.

it debuted at #10 first week and then dropped lower and lower every week. technically it did flop.

Hot Space

I never realized the baby part. That is annoying.

I guess it had a lot of things working against it. We'll never really be able to know will we?

TBH, it was the chorus and all the "AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH, AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH, JUBBBAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA-ASS", tbh. :hor:

I thought the verses and the Judas hook were great. Does that kind not work on radio, though? I guess not.

3 points in and ready for more

err..Judas. I was immediately turned off because it reminded me too much of Nicole's "Poison". It's so noisy and cluttered that you can't even tell what you're listening to. Synths? Guitar riffs? Who knows? All you hear is 25 layers of electronic sounds that end up being further hidden and hindered by an awful bassline that immediately pulls everything into one giant cluster-**** of noise. It's not the good "everything but the kitchen sink" production, like on Born This Way. At least Born This Way, in spite of all of it's noise and layers, was very smooth and streamlined, and no sound overpowered another. It just flowed perfectly. Judas sounds like a 4+ minute long struggle. It's so hard on the ears.
