The Stranger

How embarrassing...I just remember my mother and I sitting on the couch laughing our asses off at how ridiculous she looked putting more and more wigs on. Her performances of Hair are truly awful, unfortunately. Blue pit hair, bald, throwing 8 wigs on top of one another, hair piano, acoustic........WHY DO YOU DO THIS GAGA?!?!?! Just ****ing sing the album version with a good dance routine, a cool outfit and stop with all the "har har, THE SONG IS CALLED HAIR...GET IT Y'ALL?!" bull****.

YOU'RE THE EMBARRASMENT TO HUMANITY, NOW SIT YOUR DAMN ASS DOWN

THE ACOUSTIC VERSION IS ****ING GODLY AND HAS A BETTER MESSAGE THAN BORN THIS WAY, NOW SHUT UP.

too hot doesn't make ANY sense AT ALL

And it's not "I've got my bangs to hide, that I don't stand a chance"

it's "i've got my bangs to hide that I don't stand a chance".

She has her bangs, right? She sings about her hair as if it was her whole identity and her being. She can't be herself without her her? Got it? are you with me? good. she sings about being insecure and ****. When she says that she has her bangs to hide that she doesn't stand a chance, she means that her bangs (hair=identity) covers her face or whatever, thus allowing her to have some sense of "herself". Without her hair she doesn't stand a chance (she's a loser without a identity or whatever) so she ****ing has her bangs. Get it? was that TOO complicated?

now, I would like for you to tell me how "Too hot" makes sense. Please do, I'm intrigued.

Ugh, I give up. I'll sing it however I want, idec.

I'm too good for music with meaning. Right. That's exactly what I said. Verbatim. You figured me out, ladies!

:bleh:

I said her performances of this song suck. Not the song. Some people have a lot of growing up to do.

if you watch the Thanksgiving version of hair, you can hear she says "to hide" she also hides her forehead with her hand, and says "but my fans made me brave, so I don't have to hide behind my bangs. I show my forehead now"

Do you still think its "hot"?

Here it says "I've got my bands too hot that I don't stand a chance".

yeah, but that's not reliable :flop:

"sometimes i waltz around, put on red highlights :flop:

"and on friday rocks in highschool dance" :toofloppy:

It's definitely one of the defining numbers of Born This Way. Every time I watch the Jamey tribute I tear up a little. Then when she gets to saying "I know it's a bit of a downer, but sometimes the right thing is more important than the music, isn't it?" I just become a wreck.

Hair is my favorite of the whole album. I don't understand not liking it. It's like not liking Ghostbusters because it's not serious enough.

Hot Space

Hair is one of her best acoustic versions of a song. It's so heartfelt.

This one where the audience sings along and she starts crying is one of my faves:

The power of music is so inspiring. Some of these people don't even speak the language and they are singing along.
