Thank you, Vibe, I needed to read that. I thought that I had to be real dumb (and I'm not, technically) not understanding the rage that followed Gaga's tweets. Ok, I'm not a POC, but I know prejudice first hand. I've been harassed, ridiculed, beaten up and violated for something I am and can not change. Why that amount of rage towards someone who is obviusly on your side?

I discussed it with friends and they don't understand either. All people are prejudiced to a certain extend, and I do all I can to detect even the slightest hint of prejudice in me and scold myself if I find one. Then I work to get rid of it.

Sorry for probably speaking too much of myself. It's just occupied my mind a lot these days. Over and out.

Finally someone defends her *ss, even asshole VH1 tried to come for her and they got roasted in the comment section by everyone, people on twitter try to pull negative stuff out of thin air smh.

Even as a "PoC" myself -- too often I see people on social media really flying off the handle in response to benign comments made by white people.

"It's not insert-race-here's job to teach white people how to use their privilege for our betterment."

Then don't. Not everyone is equipped to teach others in that regard, especially those that simply refuse to see reason.

Then there's also the element of resentment that white people are the cause of a majority of our current day issues, yet I now have to plead with you to help solve insert-race-here's issues.

I still don't understand the criticism of that tweet. I've been trying to get my head around it, but to me it just looks like an attempt to vilify a rich, privileged white person. Yeah, she has an Internet connection and could have Googled 'how to help the black community', but that's not really helpful to anyone. She has a huge amount of power and she is using it for good. How are we supposed to resolve differences without a dialogue and taking action?

And no, it's not the responsibility of the black community to educate white people on how to better influence the country... but asking for help is far better and fairer than trying to end centuries of racial tension from our own white privileged perspective.

And hey, let's face it, that single tweet was more responsible, inclusive and powerful than anything President Trump has said or done in his eight months in office, so f*ck anyone who has a problem with it just because she's white.
