So great what she's doing. Sad that most people here won't be able to look past their personal opinions of her and see the importance behind a trial like this + giving women a voice in often times situations where they're not believed/encouraged to speak up.

The whole point of the case wasn't to win money, thus why she sued him for the bare minimum allowed in civil court, it was to bring awareness to these cases where so many times the woman is silenced/not believed and promotes that these women have a voice in sexual assault cases

but obviously, you just had to leave a snarky reply because it's Taylor :neyde:

I have complete sympathy for Taylor and what she is going through. In a previous thread I did bring up that nobody deserves to be in a situation involving sexual assault, no matter who they are. I am also aware the case wasn't about money, and Taylor really didn't care about the money, rather sending out a message to both victims of sexual assault and sex offenders themselves.

My comment didn't intend to be "snarky" towards Taylor, other people on this thread couldn't believe she only received a dollar too, and people too were also joking about it. If this thread however, was about her actual assault story: which has already been made, then I would've commented support towards Taylor...which I have already done so. I'm sorry if my comment has offended you or other users...and I will try to be more careful next time I comment.

I'm so glad the judge took this seriously. I may not like Taylor but I'm supportive of any woman who wants to bring someone to justice for sexual misconduct. It's admirable that she wants to make donations to victims of sexual assault and help them get their cases to court. She's really using her power for good and putting her money where her mouth is on feminist matters now. She's realising that it's about so much more than being friends with pretty supermodels and parading them onstage. It's about real activism and action.
