China has had more words to say and made a call to the US. Ill copy and paste the main parts:

Xi made the plea in a phone call hours after Trump escalated his warnings to North Korea, saying it would "truly regret" taking hostile action against the US.

China's foreign ministry said Xi urged Trump to avoid "words and deeds" that would "exacerbate" the already tense situation, exercise restraint, and seek a political settlement.

Al Jazeera's Adrian Brown, reporting from Beijing, said the message from Xi to Trump was made clear in the "short, but polite" telephone call.

"This was a chance for the Chinese president to show to his people that he is trying to take the lead in trying to resolve this crisis," he said.

 

Japanese media said Tokyo was deploying its Patriot missile defence system.

His ego would never let him walk back his threats. If anything, this'll make him double down. I can already see him antagonizing North Korea until an actual strike happens and then he'll blame China saying "They could've done more to prevent it, folks. Instead, they wanted us to be nice to North Korea."

Then we'll have a nuclear war with North Korea and a trade war with China.

This is a good thing, I see the ambition of China's government coming second to their need for peace, which should be the true nature of a super power. Trump is not diplomatic, this is the voice of a man who acts for the base that voted for him. You wanted a more stereotypically "American" president, well you got it, he is insensitive, rude, undiplomatic, and the enemy of freedom and peace.

Trump does nothing else but show himself to be the spirit of his white trash, ignorant upper middle class white women and men, and hatred filled base.
