Rainbow proves that Kesha should

Go down the rock/punk rock/alternative rock path with one of her future albums. She has the voice for it and she gave me a mid to late 00's avril lavigne type of punk rock vibe with Let 'Em Talk and Boogie Feet. Rainbow is Kesha's best album to date and I would love a full studio rock/punk rock album. I hope she gets the recognition she deserves with Rainbow.

Do you guys think it sounds like a good idéa for her to keep exploring like Gaga does or will it kill her career due to her current stardom status?

She'll be fine no matter what she does. She may not have that mainstream appeal but her fans are loyal and the general public respect her (regardless of their support or the sound she goes for). I did enjoy these rock punk songs alot on Rainbow, not gonna lie would have liked more. The genre itself is kind of outdated, so I don't think she'll make a full album dedicated to that sound but we'll probs always have a rock jam in each of her albums. Dirty Love on Warrior was stellar.

I already thought she should take the rock genre since I heard Dirty Love. That song is amazing, but only the solo version.

If you read what I wrote again, you would understand that I only referred two songs to Avril Lavigne's work.

I think she's best at ballads personally. But the whole vibe of Rainbow is perfect for her.

I love judas SO MUCH but I canʹt look like a copycat of JLO!!!!

I agree, she's really a country rock girl at heart. You could even hear it on her old pop tunes. She wanted to let loose on these songs more but Luke wouldn't let her but now she's free to let it go. Dirty Love and Gold Trans Am were some of her best ever tracks and they showed how she wanted a rockier sound. Machine Gun Love was also a great mixture of pop and rock yet for some reason, Luke wouldn't let her put it on Warrior. You can hear how she likely is like Gaga in lots of ways - wearing leather jackets, cut-offs, fishnets and boots, playing at dive bars, playing wild rock n roll, living on the open road touring. Remember back in the beginning of her career, she joked about having wild parties and afterwards, she would pee glitter for a week? That was evident of her rock n roll heart. I could totally see her releasing something really out-there like Miley's Dead Petz album (but hopefully better). After all, Kesha worked with The Flaming Lips before Miley did that album with them. If anything, Miley made the album that Kesha was originally going to put out (remember it was called Lipsha but Luke wouldn't let her release it?) She even said she didn't care about the money and would put it out there for free, so it's very fitting that Miley did all that with Dead Petz. Poor Kesha, always playing second fiddle and having to fight to make the music she wants. If she'd only had a more understanding beginning, who knows what work she'd be making now?
