Plus, her voice is perfect for heavy metal.

I mean... they did let her release BTW and Joanne, which were albums with a lot of different genres, but the albums as whole were sugarcoated with a pop touch. If there is a pop star signed to their label that they would let do something like heavy metal, then that pop star is Gaga.
SISTERV 3,887
Mark my words: 2018: A Star is Born, has an actual single release off of it that is pop. (Same way Vogue was for Madonna's **** Tracy). 2019: Breaks but stays in the public eye with her presence at award shows. 2020: Return to pop, final album with Interscope. Tours into 2021. (LG6) 2022 and on : Settles down....never releases pop again....kind of has a career of experimentation and random shows. Gets a Vegas residency around 2025-2030. Any albums released after this will be her kind of doing her own thing and never really be mainstream. If she does it will be one-off projects. I don't really see Gaga going back to Top 40. If Gaga ever wants a big mainstream hit again, (one or two more songs that the GP knows the lyrics to) to add to her catalog: she has the next 36 months to do so or she is pretty much done and cemented as someone who was really talented, had a few hits in the late 2000's, wore crazy outfits, and is good to go see live. She'll be in ten years how Britney is now with a better voice. But she'll be no Madonna or Beyonce. Thats just the truth yall.

Well first of all, Pop isn’t the only dominant genre, so even if she does leave it in however many years she still will have a chance at getting another hit. Also, let’s not forget music changes fast. In 5 years Pop might as well be nonexistent and Hip-Hip/Rap and Rock could be in the spotlight again, much like it was around 15 years ago (I know you didn’t mention her not singing pop, but if she’s becomes more experimental it’s likely she’ll play around with Rock and Hip-Hop again). Second, Gaga has a way with getting buzz even when a song doesn’t sound trendy. See Million Reasons.
