yASSsss 35,510
What was surprising was how much more effective the intimate episodes were than the rest of the concert. Not because Lady Gaga had never stripped down before; she’s been peppering her gigs with piano ballads for years, eager to demonstrate her vocal chops to anybody convinced her singing is a studio creation. But in the past those moments were often the phoniest, as though she’d entered a kind of stage-school zombie state. At April’s Coachella festival, the singer began her headlining set with a thrilling 45-minute sprint through some of her highest-energy, most provocative material — then brought the production to a standstill when she sat down behind a keyboard and turned her song “The Edge of Glory” into showy but unfeeling cabaret. Here, in contrast, she was funny and poignant as she did the new record’s “Come to Mama” at a glowing piano positioned on that smaller stage. “Joanne” was disarmingly tender, with a blend of grief and hope that felt lived, not rehearsed. yASSsss 35,510
I'm not sure what to make of this review. One second he's praising the show and in next line he's throwing some random shade Anyway,he's the same guy who reviewed Joanne and was overly critical of the album Call me by your name and I'll call you by mine
Easy 5,298
So they think that Gaga dislikes Bad Romance and The Cure Spoiler I would hate BR if I were her after performing it 3000 times.
Killa 17,465
The shade is real. Mostly the winged eyes to conceal boredom in her eyes savage
Miel 15,009
The LA Times, like, consistently dislikes her, right? It's like they're trying so hard not to like her here, but they do. It's a really positive review, but they just seem so cynical about her lmao 3 points in and ready for more

Fernster7 7,922
That's why she should ditch LoveGame and Telephone and perform Sinner's Prayer and Just Another Day. Monsters never die.

Lucas 26,894
The article was fine until this part "And you could almost hear the regret in “The Cure,” a laughably trendy electro-pop single she released in the wake of “Joanne’”s underwhelming commercial performance." The Cure was for Sonja. Joanne's underperformance while it was the best selling female album and has the best selling female single is extremely wrong. Shipper 13,078
I kinda like this review cause sure they criticized her fashion but when it comes to talent and the feelings she put in her ballads, the whole concert was worth it just to listen to her sing on a piano. 🩶🩶🩶🩶🩶🩶🩶🩶🩶🩶🩶🩶🩶🩶🩶🩶🩶🩶🩶
GypsyBabe 22,836
Why is the LA Times always throwing shade? Why do they have to be so negative? It's not usually constructive, just bitchy. They had some nice things to say though! I disagree with the notion that her piano ballads have been phony and boring in the past. They are my favorite parts/performances. The ending line of the article is awful too, unfortunately. ⚯͛

Edonis 28,950
This is just the LA version of the NYT guy Same hater who bashed Joanne/ARTPOP/BornThisWay/Everything and Anything she's put out since the debut of her career. Yawn. I'll pass on this review
