Sometimes I can feel pain or be in distress over things that don't make sense. She makes a valid point about sick people who need a little extra patience and understanding, some compassion- in their time of need- they get the opposite. Loved ones too often feel uncomfortable and show dispassionate sometimes callous insistence that our feelings are not relevant. The thoughts of your loved one who suffers can be irrelevant but a person's feelings, your parent, child, spouse's feelings are always relevant. Suffering is suffering even if it doesn't make sense and people are always helped getting through suffering with love. Sending her all my love.  She has one of the most beautiful voices I've heard and songs like Troy have been sacred to me ever since my childhood. They say it's the last song.
