So you're saying you agree with a dad teaching his daughter to beat people. What is wrong with you? That's disgusting.

You could try to change his mind instead of shaming him?

It isnt really about pollution I think he just tried to find an excuse for what he was saying. I have a feeling people in the US and in the "western" countries don't really understand the problem we have here in middle and eastern europe with gypsies. I am trying my best to be as liberal and open-minded towards everyone as possible but I have prejudice against them as well. You can't walk on certain streets of the town at night because of them. If you are walking on the street and you see a group of them coming from the opposite direction you better find an other way far away from them or you can face the consequences. i know this better than anyone cause once I got beaten up and they stole my wallet in a situation like this. My mother's bike was stolen last year. Guess what? It was a gypsy. Someone broke into our house several years ago and stole a lot of things. We found out it was a gypsy. Most of the time they are the ones behind drug transactions and prostitution. Im not saying there are no hungarian criminals because there are many, but when you see these things or they happen with you, and in 80% of the cases someone from a certain group/race does them, you start developing hate. Of course it is horrible to teach your child to hate someone based on only their race Im not arguing with that. But there is a reason why there is such hate in some of the european countries towards gypsies.

edit: I might get a lot of sh*t for this :poot:

If it wasn't about pollution why say that's a reason? I don't agree with what you said but I can understand that I have never experienced that so I wouldn't know your exact situation or stance on the issue. Either way I don't believe in hating on a certain group of people based  on experience you've had with a few people from that group, and I most certainly don't believe in teaching your children to beat and hate anyone even if you don't like them

I think all Eastern Europe Countries have problems with muslims, my parents are from Balkan, and i remember as small child how my Mom taught me not to engage with muslims, and it would be worst to bring a muslim girlfriend home.

yep there is a huge problem with muslims here in Europe. They're loud, rude and violent to anything and anyone. And anyone who doesn't live in these parts of Europe won't know how problematic they are here. That being said it's still wrong for a parent to teach this kind of behaviour.

Reported.

This type of hateful rhetoric and dehumanization of Muslims is what led to their genocide in the 90s. They were slaughtered by their own neighbors only for having Muslim names, men were stripped to check if they're circumcised before being executed, their women and children were systematically raped and tortured.

And I'm from that area too, so don't even try to teach me my history. I was alive when these atrocities happened.

I'm not surprised this happened in Eastern Europe, there's huge amount of open racism and bigotry towards anyone non-white and/or non-Christian.

I hope younger generations will not be that stupid and go back to dark nationalist days when criminal gangs were working for President and they were role models to average teen.

but younger generations are being taught its ok to beat muslims/gypsies, therefore causing them to eventually act out on that, honestly, this kind of behavior will probably never change, there will always be this kind of hatred in the world we wont be able to escape.  It sucks, but its true

I wasn't trying to find and excuse   It's what is happening here right now. Anyway, I agree with all your words, years ago two gypsies broke into our house too. Near the city where I live there is a big camp  of gypsies.. and nobody does anything against them.

This clearly demonstrates that children well and truly can be brainwashed by their parents.

I pity the girl for having a father like that.

In my messy era.

I still think there is a lot of hatred from past. In my family it's still not forgoten what Ottoman Empire did to people in Eastern Europe, and they ruled for 500 years in some parts. I don't think you can erase that so easily.

I mean it doesn't justify hatred against Muslim but atrocities of the Ottoman Empire against Greeks or Bulgarians for example get overlooked all the time. And people then only hate on West European empires :emma:

There's a lot of myths and half truths about that period too. Wheh you start to read history in other languages, some things don't match. In any case, there shouldn't be hatred today because of something you were taught  it happened hundreds of years ago, because we could say Muslims and Jews can't get over what Crusaders did in holy land or what Spanish did during Inquisition, so is it good to preach hate against every next generation of Christians until the end of time? Or should everyone preach hate against Germans, because of their nazi history and that's even more fresh? It doesn't make sense.

They are normal people and very similar in culture, they are not all rude, violent, loud or whatever that previous person said. We could generalize whole Balkan like that, but it's not very nice, is it?

I mean, i'm not saying it's good, just pointing that there is still tension, and i don't think it's goint to go away that fast. I think the problems will even just get bigger, with so many immigrants, because the culture is not that similar.
