OT: I agree she really underwhelmed me for this HUGE shift from ARTPOP to wannabe country artist and it made no sense why she went with THAT particular genre...at all. She really didn't do a lot of anything for the era and it felt very hollow....now she's touring and it's basically all we have left for Joanne. It's perfectly natural to not connect to some songs or actions because chances are, Gaga may not connect to things she did before as much now. Humanity is ever evolving and music is subjective, no opinion is wrong. Be proud you respect her and yourself enough to just say, I don't like it. It doesn't help or make sense when the term bad or sucks is thrown around because that's not it. I do not care for ARTPOP completely but is it good? That's an unanswerable question because I have to preface it with "to me, it isn't good." Musically it's solid, great beats and catchy melodies among so many other small nuances, it's just not my cup of tea. I still love that others loved it so much, that's why music is magical! And truth be told.......... shes only gotten better. Coming from someone whos been very critical at times. She knows Joanne isnt everyones cup of tea, shes very aware. She spends a decent portion of time explaining to people the importance of this album for her. I suppose what I am getting at, is she is much more in tune with the reception of her work than people even on here give her credit for.
