if you have a problem with talking about racism then yeah it might not feel like a comfortable place for you. My first english class was a discussion about race class

Nope. Colorblindness is racist and ineffective and increased discourse about race and racism, while uncomfortable, is not racist in and of itself even if it discusses the contributions to racism that groups have unique to them (white people's contributions to racism vs black people's are not on the same level) - its simply the cold hard truth  

Some people refuse to understand how things like racism, privilege, and platforms  work or are willfully incapable of seeing beyond the scope of themselves. The response to this is education, not coddling.

I don't think thats what she was referring to. 

Like...she wasn't saying schools shouldn't be able to talk about race issues.  She was saying it had become violent and unsafe because all students wanted to talk about was race and attack people with it.

you won't feel attacked if you stop looking at it as being attacked. if you say "yeah let's talk about the racism" black people won't attack you? You're blowing up her experiences even though they're as valid as mine?

Hmmmm....then why does it seem none of these people want to get an education? Shouldn't these people be in class? And isn't it kind of coddling them to allow them to go to a school paid for by the state to basically sit and scream.

I mean...I personally have seen POC who think when a white person says something to them that they don't agree with, they make it about race. Like.....maybe that white person genuinely just thinks you're stupid, regardless of your skin pigment. 

And if what you say is true, why do I know so many black and hispanic people who don't subscribe to that logic and tend to be more successful then a majority of their peers?

at the end of the day she's talking about her college and can't possibly equate that with all colleges. So if i have a problem with anything, it's the title that's all

I'm pretty sure you didn't watch the videos in entirety. When a white staff member is being called from the local police department and being told not to show up to the school because the school will not protect you from people who are looking in cars for you....yeah thats being attacked. When students, in a classroom, are being surrounded, followed, and screamed at all day for having a different opinion, that's being attacked.
