Joanne's best interview/Joanne appreciation thread

I'm watching this again after so long, and it sounds so different now. Have you ever gotten that feeling of you thinking you understand something and then a while later you ponder over the same thing and realise you did not? That's what I'm having right now.

Also I'm not really fond of how people make 'Best/Worst album/single' threads, I mean each album or song represents a different quality or aspect of her life and story, you don't have to always pick a winner and a loser. It's like asking a parent 'Best/Worst child of the ones you have?' I don't care if The Fame Monster or Born This Way is widely regarded as her best album, the albums celebrate different things and different emotions.

Joanne and the whole story and emotions behind it are something Born This Way and The Fame Monster could never offer and I'm grateful for it. It's a hell of an album and it remains one of the, if not the best, female album of 2016-2017.

Here's hoping this becomes an Album of the Year nomination next year.

I want to talk about Zane Lowe. He's one of the my favourite interviewers.

He doesn't ask meaningless or comedic questions for the sake of viewership, he's not afraid to go deep with the artist and he's actually very intelligent and sensible as well. He also shows a lot of respect for Gaga and made her feel safe to talk about her pain and show her emotions. You don't get that from a lot of interviewers. Instead of watching someone asking the artist a load of questions, it's really insightful to watch two people genuinely interacting with each other on a deeper level.

I love her so much. I love hearing her speak her mind. She's so fascinating. I love her voice.

She seems so amazingly genuine here. It's obvious that they both just have this awesome connection, less like an interview, more like her and a friend talking about her album. It's very refreshing. :golfclap:

The Madonna reference was so pointless... she looked so disappointed and annoyed...

LOVE this interview.

Joanne is such a brilliant album...lyrically I think it might be her best. A week hasn't gone by since it was released that I haven't listened to it.

I used to think Born This Way was my absolute favourite but I think Joanne is the one Gaga album i'm always in the mood for and it's the one album I always go back to. I'd love for it to get an AOTY nomination or Pop Vocal album but I just feel like it could be snubbed
