If you want to serve in the military, you should be able to serve, no matter who you are (unless you are a threat of course). Transgender people are good people, I don't personally know any, but I do know they are great people and if they want to serve for our nation, they should be allowed to. They don't even cost that much. The USA spent $28 Million on uniforms for Afghanistan Soldiers, and your telling me they can't afford $8 Million for Transgender USA Soldiers?
