BB: Bieber's tour had soft ticket sales

Concert promoter AEG Presents isn't sweating the loss on the cancellation of the remaining dates on Justin Bieber's Purpose World Tour. Company sources say, overall, the 154-concert tour was very successful, but some of the final dates weren't really selling that well. After playing sold-out arena dates all over the country, Bieber might have been pushing his luck trying to return and play stadium shows without releasing a new album, sources say.

Just one of the 14 shows left on the tour was a sellout, and in nearly every market, 5,000 to 12,000 tickets per show were available on the secondary market, often priced below face value. That made it very difficult to sell any additional tickets, and in many markets there were large sections of the stadium that were unsold.

So there it is. That's the real reason.

🔵 - Banned because I quoted a stupid meme. Literally. So, yeah.

I wouldn't buy tickets for an artist who cancells a whole tour based on moodswings :neyde:

And he was really not having it this era.

theshaderoom.com said some sources said JB quit the tour to "recommit his life to Christ" :sharon:

He lip syncs and say yadayadayada instead of proper lyrics, did they not expect this? Anyway for someone as rich as him now...

Well, it's a tour that had 1 year and a half out there.. Did you think it would ALL be sold out?

I mean who could blame the fans: Watch any YouTube video of him awkwardly walking around on stage while not even bothering to move his lips to the prerecorded vocal track and you'd know that even attending for free was too much to ask for

He should of still done them tbh. No one was expecting those dates to be sold out. He sold so many tickets that he probably milked all the ppl who cared to watch him. These dates would of been nice icing on top of his cake to end the era.

I mean his tour did extremely well and he's been touring for well over a year. Still shouldn't have cancelled it though cause he felt like it

I'm getting Born This Way Ball flashbacks when people accused Gaga of faking her hip injury to cancel because ticket sales were so poor.

which didn't make sense because the worst shows were in Eastern Europe for the BTWB. The U.S leg was sold out.
