No VMA noms again?

Why would she? Million Reasons is the only song of hers to really go big recently and the video for it is widely considered one of her worst. The VMAs are primarily based on popularity, I don't think videos that struggle to reach the 100M mark on Vevo really stand much of a chance...

What nominations were you guys expecting? It's the VIDEO music awards. Gaga failed to deliver anything visually noteworthy with Joanne so I don't blame them for not nominating her. John Wayne was decent but it wasn't popular enough to be nominated (she probably didn't even submit it).

No actual pop music.

No good videos.

No third single.

Weak promo.

Weak overall era roll out.

All for a movie that's about to put "Glitter" to shame.

She didn't deserve  a nomination .  Point blank period.

This is the same award show that threw shade at Madonna, MJ and Gaga (who all gave VMAs ratings and iconic performances) just to lick Beyoncé's ass on the would-be birthday of MJ, and the same award show that invited a drag queen to dress as Gaga with the meat dress last year after repeatedly snubbing or downplaying Gaga. They are trash.

I legit can't wait for their ratings to plummet.

This is nominated for Best Pop Video. 22M views. One of the biggest flops of the year.

Million Reasons is only panned by fans, the critics reacted positively towards it. They weren't praising it left and right but they embraced and appreciated the heartfelt message the video was trying to deliver. You guys should read things outside of GGD.

Anyway, the video still lacks visuals and the VMAs might not have nominated it because of that. Then there's the visually-packed John Wayne which is not an official single at all.

Btw, Kendrick Lamar's Alright was nominated in 2015 for Video of the Year despite having less than 80 million views.

Still I totally understand why she wasn't nominated this year. She's not as visually colourful as Katy Perry and also she won't be able to attend the ceremony this year.

We all know the VMAs want the artist to step up the stage and receive the trophy in person and Gaga will be on tour and won't be able to do that so they snubbed her.
